Thank you!

Thank you to the hardest working volunteers in all of NYC, er... Annunciation! It was an absolute blast from planning stages to clean-up on Sunday. We have had the pleasure of working with all of you. Thank you!  See below Hans and Frans leading the clean-up crew to a record time finish!  Ya!

Live from Annunciation...

Zen What?

Zentangle That's What!

Zentangles are miniature pieces of unplanned, abstract, black and white art created on a 3.5-inch square paper tile. Using an ensemble of simple, structured patterns these art pieces are not only exquisite but fun and relaxing to create.  The Annunciation students embraced this art method and created some beautiful artwork. Here's a sneak peek...

Get ready to bid on these one-of-a-kind art pieces on Auction night. Why?  Because they are amazing—and our children made them!

Fund-a-Need Preview

As the excitement is building for New York City, we are also hearing some Fund-a-Need buzz.  Mr. Nichols is downright giddy!  Have you heard some of the Science update plans?  Well, here is a preview for you:

  • Science House - modeled after the above photo at the Science Museum, the Annunciation "Science House" would be located in the Middle School but accessible to all K-8 students.  Not only that, but Middle School and lower grade students will work together - getting their hands dirty and opening their minds to the vast world of Science.
  • The Middle School Science classroom will get a face-lift... brand new state of the art Science Tables storing lab kits in the convenient cabinets and updated science equipment including:  scales, safety glasses, beakers and more.
  • Picture this... the "Annunciation Robotics Program" where kids use a brand new 3-D printer and learn about robotics and robot programming.  This type of learning has been known to inspire and excite future generations of researchers, engineers and scientists.
